Where Upper Saddle River's story lives
The Upper Saddle River Historical Society operates the borough-owned historic house museum and related Dutch barn collection near Lake Street and East Saddle River Road. Summer Sunday hours are typically 2–4 p.m., with appointments and special events at other times.
The current stone church was completed in 1819, replacing an earlier 1787 building. It anchors one of the borough's most recognizable historic areas.
The borough still contains Revolutionary-era and early-19th-century homes, former mill sites and narrow roads that reflect its agricultural past.
